Hi, I’m Namita, the founder of NAMiTA.

The story of NAMiTA began when I moved to a completely different country, far away from home and everything that felt familiar.

Whenever my skin or hair needed extra care, I found myself wanting the recipes and rituals my mother and grandmother had always relied on—the kind of knowledge shared through generations, often without ever being written down. But away from home, I couldn’t find products that carried the same sense of intention, familiarity and care.

What I was searching for was more than a beauty product. I was searching for a connection to home.

That feeling planted the first seed for NAMiTA. I wanted to capture the intention behind those familiar rituals and make thoughtful hair and skincare easier to access, wherever life might take you.

NAMiTA’s first chapter was predominantly inspired by Ayurveda and the beauty wisdom I grew up around. But building the brand taught me that heritage can inspire why we begin, while science must help guide how we move forward.

During my first year in business, I was learning while building. I discovered more about formulation, transparency and what customers genuinely expect from the products they trust with their hair, skin and lips.

I listened. I learned. I questioned. I also unlearned.

Everything that first year taught me has shaped the NAMiTA you see today: a brand that is more focused, more transparent and more intentional about every product it creates.

This evolution is not about rejecting our roots. It is about respecting where we began while raising the standard for where we are going.
